Taping and jointing reinforces the seams between the sheets of plasterboard that have been applied to a wall or ceiling. It prepares the surface for decoration and improves its durability, and it is what turns a room full of separate boards into one continuous plane.

It can be faster than plastering and uses a fraction of the material, which keeps both the programme and the cost down. It also lets us work alongside other tradesmen rather than holding the site up, so a fit-out can carry on around us.

How we work

Start to finish

The same sequence on every job, whether it's one room or a full floor.

Check the boarding
Every sheet is checked for fixing depth and board gaps before any tape goes on — most poor joints start here.
Tape the seams
Joint tape is bedded into the seams and the screw heads are filled, reinforcing every join in the surface.
Build and feather
Successive coats are built up and feathered out so the joint widens gradually and disappears into the board.
Sand and hand over
The surface is sanded flat, checked under a raking light and left ready for the decorator.
